The world of Grundet by Cartographers Guild in Fjärrhamn, late 5th era 1104. Nomenclature from early 7th era 249, based on old documents and folklore.
'From the Vortex it has formed: blood dried into lands, tears flowed into oceans. Surrounded by the cycle of Light's day and Darkness's night guarded by Dawn and Dusk.'
Great Circles date back to 2nd era and Coast Temples were built in the 3rd era.
I like how the Cold Sea and Inner Ocean look as if they could have been formed by meteor strikes, and the placement of all those mountains. It looks believable. Your representations of the times of day are cool too.
Thank you for commenting! The Cold Sea and Round Water (on equator) were indeed formed by large asteroid impacts and one also fell to the island of Centre. The times of the day come from the main religion of the world: dawn and dusk guard the cycle of light and darkness to prevent a new war between those two...
Ouch! Returned home and saw my original map sketch... Much better than now
Well, there's no point in worrying past. Now, I just have to use creativity in explaining why Fjärrhamn is such a northern city. Second map coming soon!
